Online Electronic Health Record Training Course for Allied Health Paraprofessionals

Train For EHR Enterprises, the Electronic Health Record training course designed in accordance with the
requirements of the National Health Career Association’s® recently established Electronic Health Record Specialist
Certification (CEHRS®). This advanced eLearning solution includes content from recognized experts and publishers,
full access to a live, web-based Electronic Health Records system (nationally certified in 2007), augmented by up-to-
the minute information and documents from regulatory bodies and leading experts in the field. No additional textbooks
are needed.

The company’s objective is “to support health care providers’ transition to a modern data-driven, information sharing
paradigm by helping the grass-roots health care workforce perform effectively in this new environment. Our real-world
experience developing and implementing Electronic Health Record and Personal Health Record software enabled us to
create a training course based on the reality of working in the field. Theoretical knowledge isn’t enough. Using the
actual EHR is a big part of the course because it will make learners much more valuable to potential employers.

Train For EHR Enterprises eLearning platform is appropriate for any learning environment, from instructor-led
classroom situations to independent student-directed eLearning. It includes Learning Management System access,
Web 2.0 tools for students and instructors, and SCORM deliverables for institutions running Moodle™, Blackboard™,
Angel™ or similar eLearning platforms. Learners can access all course material, including the EHR, from any computer
with internet access.

The course targets the nearly 500,000 paraprofessionals being educated each year in the fields of Allied Health and
Nursing, along with those already employed by providers who have adopted or will soon adopt Electronic Health
Record technology.

“Every Allied Health Program, along with the colleges, universities, medical schools and nursing schools charged with
educating medical professionals, must ensure that graduates understand modern medical office workflow and the
integration of interoperable electronic health records technology in the hospital and physician’s office,” says Dr. Barry
Newman, Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Educational Services. “One of the biggest obstacles to the
adoption of electronic health record systems is the lack of properly trained Clinical Medical Assistants, Medical Office
Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, Vocational Nurses and other paraprofessionals.”

Initially, our plain-English EHR will be the “virtual” laboratory where students can obtain practical and transferable
experience. Train For EHR Enterprises plans to add simulation software from other vendors covering both ambulatory
and hospital-based applications, thereby answering the call by the Office of the National Coordinator for non-vendor-
specific Health IT training resources. This will enable students to become familiar with specific products that may be
adopted by the local practice or institution where they find employment. “Ultimately,” says Dr. Newman, “we will expand
the scope of the course by adding a revenue cycle management/practice management component to give learners an
end-to-end understanding of both the new technology and the new workflow made possible by Health Information
Technology - fulfilling the vision of Presidents Bush and Obama dating back to 2004.”

CareData Solutions Corporation was the developer of the CareData Electronic Health Record System, including
Advanced Patient Tracking software, and Global Patient Record, a Personal Health Record (PHR) for patients.
